Tea Craft, Georgia culture and Sea - 12-19.7. 2025
During one week, we will guide you on a life-changing journey from tea lover to tea creator and show you our "version" of Georgia. This term is balanced between tea and culture. So it is intended for those who want to get know about tea production and also want to activities like museums, city seeing, rest on the sea side, getting know local culture.
What you create, you will bring home.
We will dive into the creation of our signature teas – black and white! And if there's interest, we will also experiment with green teas! We will spend 3.5 days in the tea garden, going through the process of picking, tea processing, and testing.
We will visit the best museum of ancient Georgian civilization in Vani, spend an afternoon in the beautiful Batumi Botanical Garden, enjoy the beach near the Byzantine fortress of Petra, and visit another beach in Cape Verde. (Will we have time to visit the healing black sand beach in Ureki?) We will also enjoy tea in the Turkish part of old Batumi. Additionally, we will spend a day at the house of a local tea producer.
What does a typical tea day look like?
After breakfast, we will head to the factory to check the previous day’s production. One or two teas should be tested, right? Then, we will move to the garden around 9 AM for harvesting fresh leaves while enjoying a meditative experience as we pick. The leaves will be left for withering in the factory around 12 PM. How about a fresh salad made with local vegetables from nearby farms around 1 PM? After that, we will proceed with the leaves from the day before. If we finish around 2 PM, we can choose: enjoy drinking tea in the mountains or by the sea, or maybe make some more tea? The choice is yours.
In case of rain, we will move to the seaside for relaxation around.
